Who Do You Want To Be
Jobless Millionaire

We initially wanted to name this game “Who You Don’t Want To Be A Millionaire”. But we were quickly prompted to the fact that our Cabinet Ministers are already multi-millionaires, thanks to the astronomical pay-cheques and bonuses they have been paying themselves from our tax monies. We are reminded on the regular basis that our Ministers are sooo…. talented, they will have no trouble making larger riches elsewhere. So we decided, maybe Singaporeans do want to put this claim to test …

Who Do You Want To Be A Jobless Millionaire” is the game for us to VOTE OUT
the PAP's (ex-)Ministers (since parliament and government have been dissolved, and there’s no certainty the same people will be returned to power), whom we strongly desire to be relieved of their cumbersome official responsibilities. Who knows? Corporate America, the Japanese  and Korean conglomerates, or the Middle Eastern sheikhs could be queuing up already to whisk away the likes of Wong Kan Seng, Mah Bow Tan and Lim Swee Say if we put them out of job on May 8...

To play this game, simply vote for the (ex-)Ministers who you do not wish to see around in the parliament and the cabinet. As a slight variation of The Weakest Link game, you are allowed to vote for multiple candidates, for unlimited number of times.

On the basis that the leader attracts an disproportionate number of votes, the (ex-)Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is taken off the list. But since we are no longer sure who is really in-charge of the PAP nowadays, the (ex-)Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong is also not included. As for (ex-)Minister Mentor Lee, his fortune of a walkover means that we probably have to deal with the misery of still having him around in the cabinet - unless we do enough to put the PAP out of power!

While these in mind, the candidates for
“Who Do You Want To Be A Jobless Millionaire" are...

Wong Kan Seng
- outgoing DPM / Co-ordinating Minister for National Security, who couldn't even keep a toilet window secure

Teo Chee Hean
- outgoing DPM / Minister for Defence. As Education Minister he turned the schools into an army. As Defence Minister he turned the army into a nursery

George Yeo
- outgoing Minister for Foreign Affairs. He drives a foreign policy that names our orchid after a Burmese junta leader, but blocks Timor Leste's entry in ASEAN because they are poor

Mah Bow Tan
- outgoing Minister for National Development. Acts as though he is a property mogul,  with the weight of the burden on our shoulders

Lim Hng Kiang
- outgoing Minister for Trade & Industry, who has never been made accountable for mishandling the SARS crisis

Lim Swee Say
- outgoing Minister, PMO. Sits in the Cabinet only because he oversees the incestuous  relations between the PAP government and NTUC. Wants  Singaporeans, but not the Ministers, to be "cheaper, better, faster"

Yaacob Ibrahim
- outgoing Minister for the Environment & Water Resources / Muslim Affairs. Said nothing when the Minister Mentor blamed God squarely for the "freak" floods.

Khaw Boon Wan
- outgoing Minister for Health.  Wants to drive elderly Singaporeans  away to his former homeland with hefty medical bills

Tharman Shanmugaratnam
- outgoing Minister for Finance. Calls the multi-billion losses in Citi and UBS long term investments, but raised the GST because the government has no money for the poor

Ng Eng Hen
- outgoing Minister for Education, who lost all support from Chinese language teachers

Vivian Balakrishnan
- outgoing Minister for Community Development, Youth & Sports, who not only wasted more than $400 million, made Singapore a mockery in front of the world, but said he would do it again.

Raymond Lim
- outgoing Minister for Transport. Pay exorbitant sums for COE, to find ourselves trapped by the ERP, jammed in the CTE  and ambushed by the TP.  Can't get a seat on the SBS, MRT and LRT, yet  get overcharged by the  EZ-Link

K Shanmugam
- outgoing Minister for Home Affairs / Law. Silenced the drums for Thaipusam, yet claimed he gave us rights to sing hymns. Turning Singapore into a police state

Gan Kim Yong
- outgoing Minister for Manpower, who cannot differentiate citizens from PRs, and allows systematic slavery  of low-paid foreign labourers and maids

Lim Hwee Hua
- outgoing Minister, PMO. The "cover-up" girl of Temasek and GIC's multi-billion losses.

Lui Tuck Yew
 - outgoing Minister for Information, Communications & the Arts. Former navy chief who  talks with civility worse than a sailor

So Singaporeans, fire away (figuratively) your votes!

Take the burden off these Ministers of "fighting" for us, and see if even one leper will return to thank us later…

  1. Vast majority of voters don’t attend election rally and seldom surf net.

They prefer to watch TV and read Straits Times/Lianhe Zoabao.

Most of them are not aware of those issues raised in the election rallies and your blog.

How do oppositions find ways to reach these voters?

  2. word of mouth!

com'on Singaporeans, talk to your grandparents, parents, children, colleagues, neighbours, taxi-drivers and all!!! This is OUR campaign, not the opposition's alone.

  3. But many of us are not that articulate and knowledgeable to be able to convince relatives and friends to vote for change. Don’t forget they have been brainwashed by the MSM (they prefer to watch TV and read Straits Times/Lianhe Zoabao) for over 40years.

It would be a lot easier (to convince) if we have information such as:

1)) how difficult is to get the parliament to approve the increase of $30 for the needy
    2) how much are our ministers’ pay versus our national median pay
    3) how much are HDB prices increase versus our national median pay increase from 2006 to 2010
    4) ministers’ pay increase versus our national median pay increase from 2006 to 2010
    5) number of months of bonus our ministers received versus the average Singaporean workers received from 2006 to 2010
    6) our GDP increase versus our national median pay increase from 2006 to 2010
    7) ……….

Hope oppositions provide the above information in the election pamphlets so that we can use it as talking points to convince our relatives & friends.
